My foster mom absolutely loves me – she tells me all the time that I am so special. But I have some quirks. I arrived into rescue a very very shy boy and really afraid of all people. For that reason, I will do best in a home without little kids. I need a home that is patient and understanding and is willing to let me warm up at my own pace. If you give me the space and time to acclimate – I will be a very loving dog. I’ve been in my foster home for 2 months now and I am just coming around to enjoying receiving pets and affection. I will now take treats from her had (really anyone’s hand now)!! HUGE IMPROVEMENT! But if you try to approach me, even just to pet me under my chin, I will run! I am trying to trust, and I want to trust, but I’m just not 100% there quite yet. I will need a home with another dog – one that is pretty relaxed is ideal as I take all of my social cues from other dogs. And I really really love other dogs! Especially when they like to play! I will need a home with a secure yard – if I get spooked (which can happen easily) I will escape if I can. (You see my first instinct is to run from anything that makes me nervous). I do walk very well on a leash – and enjoy going out to explore. (I may never be a trust worthy off leash dog – unless you spend a lot of time working with me and building on my foundation of trust and training). With that being said – I will need to be in a secure kennel (wire kennel) when left at home. I am still young and will be destructive when left unattended. But I do promise I will be worth your time and patience! I am very smart and will learn all the things you want to teach me – in time!

June needs your help. She arrived limping in pain with her three week old puppies. We took her to the veterinarian for an examination and it was discovered June needed an emergency surgery to repair her calcaneus. The total medical costs for her surgery is $3,300.
Lifeline Puppy Rescue is dedicated to saving pups like June to give her a chance at life. As a 501(c)3 non-profit, we rely on individual donations to provide treatment to medical cases. Can you donate $10 to help cover her medical expenses so she can find a forever loving home?
