Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Lifeline volunteer!

Lifeline Puppy Rescue depends on our volunteers for continued success in saving puppies’ lives and ensuring that they are placed in safe and loving homes.

IMPORTANT: Volunteering at Lifeline involves a lot of hard work as described below. If you prefer the majority of your volunteer time to be spent directly interacting with puppies/ dogs, Lifeline is probably not for you. If you are willing to do a wide variety of tasks to help ensure the health, safety and placement of puppies into good homes, please apply. We need you!

Typical volunteer duties include:

  • kennel cleaning
  • grounds clean-up
  • laundry
  • puppy feeding and watering
  • medication distribution
  • adoption set-up and break down
  • adoption process assistance
  • puppy transfer intake
  • adoption prep
  • sign creation
  • puppy playtime and walks

Volunteers for special events coordination such as donation drives and off-site adoptions are also needed. Please indicate your interest on the application.

To qualify as a Lifeline volunteer you must be at least 13 years old. Volunteers aged 13 through 15 must have a parent or legal guardian volunteering with them at all times.

We can not help with court-ordered community service.

Are you willing to . . .

  • commit to helping with all aspects of puppy care, adoptions and maintaining a clean, safe environment for the puppies?
  • commit to a minimum of 3 to 6 volunteer hours each month you are available?
  • commit to showing up on on time on scheduled days unless prior notice is given or an emergency arises?

If so we would love to have you volunteer with us at Lifeline!

These are your next steps:

  • Fill out an application.
  • Attend a volunteer orientation class. These are held monthly.
  • Purchase a Lifeline T-Shirt which is to be worn during all adoption and off-site events. These are available for $20 at orientation.
  • Sign up for shifts and come on out to Lifeline!
