Let me start by saying I’m not an affiliate of this organization. My husband and I found out about it on facebook and decided to go to the adoption event today, 2/3/18. I had read the yelp and Facebook reviews, many of which were negative, and was nervous about the condition of the puppies and the care they would be in. I’m happy to say we just adopted a beautiful little heeler mix and our experience could not have been better. This volunteer run shelter is truly amazing. There were cars lined up half a mile down the road before the event even started and the volunteers handled all of the people in a fair and organized manner. Each person was given a number in order of where their car was parked in the line and those numbers were used to determine browsing groups and puppy preference (SO GET THERE AT LEAST AN HOUR EARLY!). The staff takes great precautions to keep the puppies healthy. They consistently use hand sanitizer between handling puppies, do not allow adopters to touch puppy to puppy without hand sanitizer, and separate the puppies by litter so that any disease that could potentially break out is contained. Once you have chosen your puppy they give a very informative overview of their policies, the adoption process, return policy, puppy care, microchip, etc. anything you need to know is in that orientation, nd everything in their policies is more than fair. This organization is great at what they do and really have it together. I’m so impressed at how smoothly the adoption went for us even with so many people there. I would recommend Lifeline to any friend ready to assume the role of a rescue puppy parent. We are loving our sweet little girl!

We adopted our puppy here. People were friendly and had a great variety of dogs. We love our pup so much. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because me and my friend (who also got her dog here) had a hard time getting our rebate after we got our dogs neutered. I would get our next dog here.

Would add a picture if I could. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Adoption process was easy and made sense for the adoptee/staff ratio. Numbering system simple and make sense if you can understand simple directions. Adopted a pup about 2 months ago, no problems at all.

We got our sweet girl Penelope here, in December. *Adoption was very easy, they explain their process very thoroughly. Great people, Great experience. Just Get there very early if you see a puppy you have in mind. *One Con though is once you leave with your puppy, it is difficult to get a hold of someone if you have questions or concerns. You have to message them and wait for response, but overall we had a great experience.

We adopted our puppy Ollie a little over a month ago and I cannot recommend lifeline puppy rescue enough! It's not just a come pick out a puppy and get out. You can tell these folks care about the puppies and want them to go to happy, loving homes.

We LOVE our little puppy, Zeus! We got him right before Christmas. The staff was super helpful and we were able to take our little guy home quickly! He is happy and healthy! I highly recommend Lifeline Puppy Rescue!

My husband and I got our puppy at Lifeline almost 3 years ago and he is just the best dog we could have asked for. We now have a 2 year old and he has grown up with her and is such a protector of her. Best dogs! He is a Rottweiler/German Shephard mix and is full of energy. I wish there was a way to find his siblings he was with to see how they grew up. I would go back there in a minute to get another puppy!! Very recommended!

Our pup Kala is from lifeline. Smartest and most sweet dog ever! :-) black lab possible mix but she's smarter than top tier black lab breeds! We love lifeline for giving us our baby girl!

adopted a little border collie/lab mix almost 2 weeks ago - aside from a miscommunication about when to come and pick him up, which was quickly resolved and a time scheduled for us the next day, our experience with Lifeline was wonderful. Our little Newton was pretty much 100% pad trained when we brought him home, doing half the work of housebreaking for us! His free vet checkup confirmed that he's completely healthy and he's happy, playful, and thriving! Thanks for getting him off to such a great start!

We got our Border Collie/lab sweet girl there over 10 years ago. She has brought us nothing but love and joy. Would definitely look at another from here some day.

Amazing Place! Super nice volunteers. You can tell the puppies are all well loved and taken care of. We adopted a beautiful Red Heeler puppy and referred many friends since then.

I got my diesel from them and they were wonderful - If I was closer I would continue to get my pups from them

Our Auggie is now 10 months old and we brought him home at eight weeks. We are amazed at what a fabulous and healthy dog he is. He was potty trained by 11 weeks. He has been great with kids, at and even our bird.He is the happiest, most easy going dog we’ve ever had. We showed up out of the blue after visiting a different rescue and adopted Auggie in about an hour and a half. We don’t know his mix, lab something, but whatever it is is perfect. Our experience was and still is great.

I got my dog here almost 11 years ago because several of my friends had rescued from here & their dogs all turned out to be smart, healthy and extremely sweet. Mine did have a bad case of kennel cough - however this was not on Lifeline, and I assume she would have died if she wasn't picked up by them... Which is too hard to even think about. We will use Lifeline for the rest of our dogs!!

We adopted our sweet 8month old dachshund corgi mix Thea yesterday from Lifeline Puppy Rescue! We got there around 2 in the afternoon, which was fantastic! There wasn't that many people there and we were aloud to wonder around looking at puppies. A volunteer immediately approached us explaining their process and rules. They told us to not put our fingers in the cages for puppy health reasons, which we really respected, it showed they are looking out for the puppies. Our little Thea (was Thelma) immediately caught our attention. The same volunteer set up her kennel for us to meet her. She gave us some treats for Thea to come up to us, while kept checking in with us to see how things were going. When we decided to adopt our sweet Thea, they took us into this building for a class explaining the process on how to raise a puppy, how to fill out the application, what the email they send you says and how to read it, along with vaccine information. We felt very confident in our decision. Our sweet Thea is the perfect addition to our family. We have already told our friends that want puppies about our amazing experience. THANK YOU LIFELINE PUPPY RESCUE!! We are ridiculously in love!

My best good girl came from this rescue back in 2002. She was my first dog as an adult. We had to put her down last year and she took a part of my heart with her. This rescue is great and rescues pups from remote areas. Thank you for my first fur child.

What a fantastic adoption experience!!!! The staff is friendly, grounds are clean, organized and fair! We got to the rescue at 9am and were about 5th in line. It was snowing like crazy but you get to wait in your car so that is very convenient. They give you numbers as you drive through the gate so it's fair for everyone. We got a puppy from the litter we wanted and we love her. The puppies were clean and well taken care of. The staff seems like they really care and they love their work. They are a no kill shelter and keep the puppies until they are adopted. The adoption session is lengthy so dont be in a hurry. We got there about 9 and left about 1pm.

Loved the entire team, super easy Checkin, seamless administrative work and of course alllll the puppies! These pups are well cared for and we now have the perfect addition to our home.

I adopted my little Nyx on April 2nd 2016. They were so awesome and fair and just loved how pulling up and walking in you could tell the were all about the puppies and dogs. They are very well organized that made getting my little sweetie that much better. Thank you lifeline puppy for all you do!!

we adopted our newest addition from lifeline last weekend. i saw her on the website the day before & fell in love with her picture, so we arrived 2 hours early to the event which made us #4 in line. this allowed us to go in a couple minutes ahead of the other people in line which is nice, but if we had wanted to look at another dog, we wouldn't have been able to. fell more in love with our ella after spending time in the play area with her. spent 5 hours at the event total. all in all it was an easy process. we couldn't be happier about our puppy. she is very happy and healthy.

The staff at Lifeline are fantastic! We found the sweetest baby girl, CC. The adoption process is easy but thorough. I like that they go through the puppy class before you leave. We couldn't be happier with our new addition!

We adopted a precious shepherd/lab mix from Lifeline this weekend. The process is organized and fairly efficient, considering all the puppies and potential adopters. Take a look at the available pups before you go for sure because once you get there, especially on Saturdays, there are lots of people, and you should be ready to ask a volunteer to visit with a specific puppy or at least one from a litter you’ve picked out from the online pics the day/days before. You should definitely try to get there before 11am when they open, as they give you a number in order of arrival. If you’re adopting, plan to be there for about 2 hours give or take. The employees/volunteers there are helpful and kind, and once you’re ready to adopt, they provide thorough details of the adoption contract, review the paperwork and instructions in one big group - super efficient. Bring cash for extremely fast check out once instructional seminar is finished. Credit card line can be long, but moves fairly quickly. They also sell full size crates with divider for a reasonable price and puppy starter kit so that you don’t have to stop off at the pet store on the way home - leash & collar, few days worth of food, a few chew toys, food and water bowl - all for about $20 or 30, I think. Our new puppy is beautiful, playful, curious and sweet. She’s already spayed and has her initial immunizations. We’re so excited about the many years ahead with our Scout!

I got this girl in April and she’s almost 1 year old! Although she was a bit sick when I adopted her, Lifeline took care of her until she was all better. They are great!

I got my, "Li'l Miss," dog, Pippa last Saturday from Lifeline Puppy Rescue. She was a rescue from a puppy mill the week before and had been spayed and also had a second surgery to remove 3 bladder stones from her bladder. I let Chelsea know that I was interested in giving her a loving caring life, once she was through her post surgery challenges. Chelsea and staff were so helpful and kept up communications for a week, with me, updating her improvements. So helpful, so knowledgeable and the process was super easy, to adopt her. I got Pippa last Saturday afternoon, and brought her back on Sunday to start obedience training. That Pippa had a bond with Chelsea and was starting to bond with me, the training went very well. She was eager to listen and please both of us! A win-win situation! Anyway, Lifeline Puppy Rescue deserves 5 stars for the services they provide. I am certain that my new 4 year young pup, Pippa and I, were meant to find each other and it was all Divine Timing.

We love Lifeline Puppy Rescue. Both of our dogs were rescues from Lifeline. We foster puppies from time to time and that's how we chose one of our dogs. We've recently fostered a pregnant mother who gave birth to 8 healthy pups. Scott from Lifeline was our lifesaver. He gave our family all kinds of support and guidance; always going above and beyond. Thank you for working so hard to help all the pups out there without homes, Lifeline!

We had a great experience with the adoption process. They were helpful and explained the process well. My husband and I were not sure how to go about the process, however when we were ready we showed up an hour before the event and waited. We could tell they are very experienced in the adoption process within about 5 mins of getting there. The key to adopting from anyone is to try to pick your puppy before you go and get there early! We adopted Scout (Puppy # 16-925) at 8 weeks old, he is now a 17 week old happy and healthy lil ball of love! As a side note I appreciate lifeline's attention to Pitt Bull puppies. They made sure the puppies didn't go to homes that would have to give them up secondary to where people live. It was nice to see their dedication at finding a good and FOREVER home for these little pups! We are so in love with our Scout! Thank you for what you do!!!

I got my dog from there two years ago and it is the only place that I will ever go to now to get a dog you can tell they are very well taken care of and care about who is adopting the dogs I love my dog Decker!

After reading all the scathing reviews on Yelp and weighing my options, I decided that the puppy I found on the Lifeline website was too good to pass up. We were very happy with the service we received during the adoption process but there are some things that I want to point out. 1. If you have a specific puppy in mind that you want, get there EARLY!!! 1 hour early is not nearly enough if you want one in particular. We pulled into the driveway at 8:00 am, a full 3 hours before they opened, and were the first car in line but the 2nd car arrived less than 5 minutes later. By the time 11:00 rolled around there were 25-30 cars lined up. Every car in line will receive a number about 10-15 minutes prior to the gates opening. When the gates open, you will pull in, park and then everyone will stand behind a rope waiting to be let in to view the puppies. Myself and the 2nd car to arrive were let in first prior to the bigger portions of the group and had all the volunteers ready to help. If you are looking for a specific companion that you will have for potentially over 10 years, I cannot stress how important it is to arrive very very early. Charge your phone, bring a snack, and take a nap. It's worth the wait. 2. If you do not arrive early, plan to be among groups of 7-10 families that are released all together based on the number you received in line. As there are only so many volunteers you may not immediately get the help nor the puppy that you want. That has nothing to do with the volunteer's willingness to help, but rather the overwhelming number of people that all think they deserve to be helped immediately as well. 3. The puppies are NOT kept permanently in the kennels that you see them in during the adoption time like other reviews have stated. I watched no short of 20 different cars driven by fosters arrive prior to opening to drop off the puppies. 4. On to the health of my puppy. Although many reviewers have stated that their puppies had Parvo or any number of problems after adoption which I agree can be horrible, I on the other hand have a perfectly healthy puppy. Upon adoption, Lifeline will give you a list of 40 vet clinics around Colorado that will give you a free puppy wellness evaluation which is great and a service that you should take advantage of. I was able to call my current vet and they offered the same exam at no charge so do not feel like you must go to one of those 40 clinics given by Lifeline. I did pay for them to look at a stool sample where they found a very slight Coccidia infection. My vet assured me it is very common and treatable. The total bill for the stool sample eval and 5-day treatment for the Coccidia came to just over $50. I cannot speak to, nor am trying to speak to, any of the interactions others have had with Lifeline in the past, but from my perspective, this place is run as smooth and organized as possible. If you are even considering adopting a puppy, at least give Lifeline a shot. If they were intentionally adopting out sick puppies, they would no longer be in business; there are always risks when adopting from a shelter. Think of it this way, if Lifeline hadn't intervened and taken in these puppies, they would have been euthanized at the shelters they were at previously. TL;DR Get there very early or you will wait and possibly miss out on the puppy you want, my puppy is healthy, give Lifeline a shot.

Over the last 16 years my parents have adopted two healthy puppies from lifeline and I recently got my first pup here. They genuinely care about the puppies/dogs and are very helpful with questions and the adoption process. Adopting can be competitive in CO and this place does great. It seems that going on weeks with more puppies that are around holidays/good weather will be busier and feel more competitive than colder weekends with less puppies. Regardless over the years they've always had a great selection.

Just had a great encounter with a foster parent Eduardo! He was walking a momma and her 9 puppies on a path near my home. All the pups and their mom were well behaved and very social! Eduardo was very informative about the rescue, clearly took pride in raising well socialized puppies, and took the time to answer all of the questions that came from everyone so amused to see the site of 9 tiny pups and their mom walking on the path! About two weeks ago I adopted from Lifeline after keeping my eyes on this dog for weeks through their website. They were extremely helpful through the process, answered all of my questions, and they even allowed me to bring my older dog to their location to meet my new guy before bringing him home. I would highly recommend Lifeline. Also, I wanted the staff to know that “Ralphie” is now “Louie” and he is doing great and has been a fun addition to the family. Him and his brother play and snuggle constantly!

I got the best dog in the world there!

We picked up or puppy lat Saturday and so far have been very pleased. He is pretty good with using the potty outside, knows sit, wait, and knows his kennel. He still gets excites over our kitties but we are making process. We still jave alot of training to go but hes is very loving and is making a food addition to our family. Lifeline Puppy Rescue works so hard to save puppies from places like New Mexico and Texas that will most likely end up in an overcrowded kill shelter. They nurse them back to health and give them opportunities for an amazing and fulfilling life.

We recently adopted our little guy from Lifeline and when my husband noticed him getting sick, we were able to take him to the rescue and they kept him in observation for two days. Everything was alright and he didn't need treatment for anything but they made the entire process easy. So happy we adopted our puppy! I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends! In fact, my family has a long history of adopting from Lifeline Puppy Rescue.

I adopted my sweet Border collie mix Lola from Lifeline Puppy Rescue in 2001. She lived a long happy 17 years with us and was the best pup ever!

Got my Marty from Lifeline, what a great experience! He was so excited to be in his forever home it took 2 days to even be able to take a picture of him. He came neutered, chipped, and vaccinated for $450?!?! What a great deal. Was well taken care of by his foster and the staff were super helpful and supportive that I got the pup I fell in love with on their website. Even let me bring my other dog to make sure they got along. I strongly recommend and I’ll be back next time I need a new puppy.

Lifeline puppy rescue is so great!! We arrived at 8 am and were 4th in line and I did get my puppy of choice. I am so happy with my new pup and experience with lifeline! They had so many adorable puppies and it was awesome to see they were almost all adopted. I highly suggest adopting through lifeline.

I got my sweet dog, Harper from Lifeline. It was a little chaotic, but just make sure you read (hours/instructions) from their FB site and on their main website. After being informed, I arrived early, received a number and was able to take her home. The majority of people who work there are volunteers, so be patient and remember the adoption day is hectic for everyone. My dog, Harper is a terrier/chihuahua mix and is smart, loving and playful. Thank you Lifeline for bringing her into my life!

We adopted our girls Maggie and Dakota from Lifeline in 1997. They are gone now but we always remember Lifeline and our experience with them. When we are ready for a new friend we will give them a call.

In 2010 I came to lifeline looking for my new best friend Kika, I had seen her picture on your website and immediately fell in love, I knew as soon as I saw her I wouldn't be leaving that day without her. 3 years later my fiancé and I decided she needed a friend so we got back on your website and found Cairo, again, as soon as we both saw the picture we knew. We came back to the shelter and thank god we were the first ones there so we got first pick, the family that pulled up behind us was also there for Cairo. We lucked out! He is one of the best dogs I've ever owned, as is she. I've never been happier and I'm happy to say they are healthy, happy, spoiled dogs and I just wanted to say thank you for bringing us together. We strongly recommend Lifeline Puppy Rescue. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful and the process of finding a new friend for my parents was easy and fun. We were nervous about the idea of first come first serve but there was no pressure and everyone there was just trying to find their match. It’s was great to be able to walk around and see the liters of pups and meet with several of them. My advice would be to have a few in mind and then see what the personalities are.

We have two amazing pups from Lifeline. The staff is amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. Was a great and enjoyable experience. So happy with our pups, they are the happiest and best members of our family.

Such a wonderful place to adopt from. The staff is kind, attentive, and very helpful. After searching countless shelters for just the right fur baby I was ready to give up. A reccomendation from a friend led me to Lifeline and they did not dissapoint. I searched the listings for the right pup, found one and showed up about 3 hours before the gates opened on Saturday. (I had heard to get there early) I was 4th in line and thought...oh no, I'll never get my puppy with all these people in front of me. As I waited I met some really wonderful people. Some first time adopters and one woman who had adopted 6 times from just this place! Had to be wonderful I thought! As the gates opened I was overwhelmed with the number of pups searching for the right parent as we were all searching for our new addition. Having full intentions of finding the one I saw in the photos I walked by one puppy that stood out from the rest. She was beautiful and when her eyes locked mine I just knew - I met my Sakra. It's now over a year and she is the best dog I have ever owned. Lifeline Puppy Rescued me. They take such good care of these pups and most are volunteers. 1/2 the adoption fee goes back to the parents of the puppy to get spayed and neutered. They also give a class on care of your new family member as well as first set of shots and a microchip. Highly recommended!!!!

We got our Blue Heeler mix at Lifeline four years ago and she has been the best dog I have ever owned. I always said I’d go back there when we were ready for another. I knew Lifeline’s popularity had grown since I had been there, and prepared to get there early. We still only managed about 20 minutes early Saturday morning but were still 14th in line. The owner explained how things worked, let the super early arrival get first pick, then 2-10 got to browse puppies, then about 5 minutes later the rest of us were able to browse. It was fair, not chaotic... the volunteers were friendly. Their class is important because people need to understand what they are in for. The owner was around, chatting with everyone. It’s clear he loves his dogs and what he does. I saw some negative reviews before I went back last weekend, and I wanted to come in here to say that if you listen to how they do things, about what they expect, and go in to adopt a new family member, it will be an amazing experience. Our new pup is so sweet, and fits in perfectly with my family. I will always support Lifeline. <3

I adopted my little girl almost 5 months ago. She was one from the litter left abandoned in a bucket at a very young age. I get so many compliments (from my vet, day care, obedience class) about how sweet and well socialized she is. It's obvious that the fosters who took care of her before the adoption did such a fabulous job. The staff were very nice during the adoption process. They kept me informed during the spay surgery and never made me feel that I was a bother. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

I found my Ursa there more than 10 years ago. She was a Keeshond mix, and was so loving and sweet! This is a great place!!!!

I’ve adopted all of my dogs here, going back to our first, Jazper, over 20 years ago! The staff and volunteers love what they do and are so incredibly helpful, friendly, and dedicated. The puppies are well cared for and it was easy to find the puppy I wanted! I wouldn’t go anywhere else to adopt a puppy!

We got Copper from Lifeline in April of 2014 (Australian Cattle Dog mix). The facilities were clean and well maintained and the staff was very helpful. The puppies seem to go fast here, it's a very popular spot for adoption! Also, so glad they are taking better photos of the pups now! They used to be photos of the pups on a scale and they all looked so scared and uncomfortable. This is such a better representation of the happy pups we saw at Lifeline!

We adopted our sweet girl a few weeks ago and not only has she been an amazing dog and perfect addition to our family but it was great experience getting her. If you have a specific dog you’re wanting I would go early because people start to show up early. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and genuinely enjoyed what they were doing. Turkey had a great first vet visit and is a very healthy little girl. If we ever decide to adopt again we will definitely choose lifeline again. ️

Such a wonderful experience and much less stressful than we thought it was going to be. Little Toshi played in a big backyard today and then crashed out.

We just went and picked out/up our little girl Honey yesterday... I really liked the structured process considering first come first serve.. I wish they had a little more back history on the pups but understand why they dont ( As they are just genuinely trying to save puppies from kill shelters) the only other complaint is that my girlfriend saw on the website that they offer 30days of "pet care (insurance if you will)" following your adoption only to be told in person that they no longer offer such services... other then that I'd send any of my friends and family there to get a pup in a heart beat... And as for the people talking about "0 help" with their pups. Honey got an extremely bad tummy ache and started vomiting a couple days after we brought her home and the staff at lifeline ACTED EXTREMLY PROFESSIONAL in assisting us with our puppies illness, kept her over night to closely monitor her gave us an end of night update and let us know the next day that she was feeling much better and we could go pick her up... and they assured me that if anything else happened to her to simply bring her back and they would get her fixed up.. and that's WITHOUT THE INSURANCE POLICY.. But she is happy as ever cuddling with my kiddos as I type this message... Thanks again for my adorable pup and professionalism in dealing with her tummy bug!!

Got 2 lab mix pups from them 14 and 12 years ago respectively. Got our second pup there because they seemed well aware of the physical conditions of the pups, not releasing any until they were healthy. Glad to hear they are still In business rescuing pups from around the state.

Such a great service for puppies and people! The process is a little hectic, but fair. Very professional people, whom are very helpful and friendly. When we were told our Rey was not spayed yet one of my children started to cry so one of the gals there asked if she could fix it with some M&M's and of course it fixed everything. I adopted two puppies from lifeline a year apart and both are amazing dogs and we're in great health when I adopted them and they still are. Only thing I didnt like was my male I adopted was already neutered at 8 weeks and I like to wait at least the full 3 months for general health reasons however, he is healthy and I've had no issues.

Amazing rescue that truly cares about the puppies as well as controlling the pet population so we can avoid unnecessary deaths for these amazing animals/friends/family members!

This place is amazing! They really care for the puppies and I love that they travel to save puppies that would otherwise be euthinized. We have adopted 3 pups from Lifeline over the past 15 years and couldn't be happier. The most recent, Otis, is a 2 year old, Lhasa Apso mix and might be the funniest, sweetest dog we've ever met! Definitely give this place a look - worth the drive!

This is a NO kill shelter. We currently have 3 rescues from Lifeline. They are an incredible organization that save so many puppies and mother dogs from high kill shelters.

I got my Maxx dog almost 10 years ago and he still acts like a puppy. I was his foster mom but I couldn't let him go. So I kept him. Being a foster mom was great seeing the puppies go to there forever homes was so rewarding.
