Hi, I’m Ester — but everyone lovingly calls me Hippo. I’m just 1 year old, and I’ve already shown the world how tough, joyful, and resilient a pup can be. I was recently surrendered back to Lifeline because I’m a very special case: I have hip dysplasia and a luxating patella in my left hind leg. I’m looking for a forever family who can support my healing with physical therapy, supplements, and lots of love. Even with all that going on, I’m still the happiest girl you’ll ever meet. I greet everyone with full‑body wiggles and a smile that makes your whole day better. I know how to sit, and I’m working hard on learning not to pull on the leash — I’m eager to please and love being praised. Hippo is the perfect match for someone who wants a dog with heart, hope, and endless affection. She’s ready to start her recovery journey with a family who will cheer her on every step of the way.
