Louie is a 2.5-year-old sweetheart who’s back with us through no fault of his own and is ready for his true forever home. With his affectionate and loyal temperament, Louie is the kind of dog who wants nothing more than to be by your side—especially when it’s time to snuggle up at night. He’ll happily curl into a little ball right next to you on the bed. Louie is house trained, walks and runs like a dream in his harness, and absolutely loves his toys and bones. He thrives on one-on-one walks and does best as the only dog during those outings. While he’s not reactive on walks, he can get excited over rabbits, squirrels, and birds in the yard—typical curious pup behavior! Louie would do best in a home with only female dogs or a calm, laid-back male. A meet-and-greet with any household dogs is required prior to adoption to ensure a good fit. Louie has shown he can jump a 6-foot fence, but with the right setup (like a barrier or lean-in fence, as shown in his photos), he stays safely contained. If he ever slips out, he comes right back to the front door—he knows where home is. What Louie truly needs is someone who can give him the time, attention, and exercise he deserves. He’s a wonderful companion with so much love to give. For the right person, Louie will be the most loyal, loving best friend you could ask for.

Blossom was unfortunately returned to us through no fault of her own. Her adopter was diagnosed with a chronic illness and could no longer give her the care and activity she deserves. She was originally rescued by us a few years ago after being used as a breeding dog, with painful brands on her ears to prove it. Despite her rough start, Blossom has always been incredibly sweet and resilient. Here's what her previous owner had to say about her: Blossom is a very loving dog with a sweet personality. She greets from the community both humans and other nonaggressive dogs with bays and contact, and loves attention and patting Blossom would be best matched with an individual or family that loves the outdoors and long walks. My daily routine before now was to take her on a two mile walk and at times more. She loves to explore. She is independent when off leash. Once accustomed to her human partner she can be trusted off leash in the open spaces. She will quickly learn the recall signal by any device you wish to use. Of course, calling her by name also works and treats are apricated but not necessary. Blossom is not a dog for people that would need to leave her alone for more than 3 hours. Blossom loves to sleep, as any hound; Loves to chew and eat as many pieces of rawhide she can negotiate out of me. Blossom knows that domestic cats and deer are prey. Bottom line: Blossom is an intelligent, sweet and loveable dog. Egar to interact with humans and other dogs. She enjoys tracking, good company and a good sleep in the sun.
