SPECIAL NEEDS. MEET AND GREETS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Valentina (Tina for short) is a super special puppy. She is about 6 mos old and 22lbs. She will be a mini Retriever. Lifeline rescued Tina and her 2 siblings from New Mexico. The vet discovered a severe heart murmur. Lifeline consulted a cardiologist at the CSU Veterinary Hospital for additional testing. The cardiologist noted she has a heart defect (small hole in her heart). That is not stopping her from being adorable, playful and super loving. She is a Velcro dog and loves to be with you. Her short term prognosis is good. She will need annual echocardiograms to see if any changes have occurred in her heart. This condition may or may not limit her life expectancy but right now she needs a loving home that knows and can accept the heart condition. She does well with other dogs, kids, and cats. Meet and Greets will be by appointment for this special girl.
