Puppy 1229, or Bear Cub as I have nick named her. Is a very curious puppy that is more interested in meeting and playing with other dogs than people. When first introduced to my home, she would rather sniff and explore my house rather than saying hello. It took a few hours to get her warmed up to me and after a couple of days she became very cuddly and would spend almost every nap time next to me. She has been introduced to two older dogs and seemed to get along with them from the very start. She was also introduced to a 10 year old child, and at first she was standoffish with him, and took her about a full day to warm up to him. I definitely recommend taking it slow when introducing her to children. She is usually quiet, mostly communicating with whimpers or quiet growls. But if barked at by another dog, she will bark back. She is teething and will chew on most things. She is often only interested in chewing on things that her sister (puppy 1231) is also chewing on. When she decides on using me as her chew toy, she usually only softly nibles on me, which rarely ever hurts. I supplied her with plenty of chew toys, which helped prevent her from chewing on things that I didn't want her chewing on (watch out for your shoes and socks). She is not potty trained yet, but I followed a good routine with her which is helping her from not having any accidents inside the house . She does seem to understand not to use her kennel and sleeping area as a restroom. Some extra things about her is that she absolutely loves belly rubs, will follow you around everywhere in the house, and when napping she will use you as her pillow. She also gets along with her sister puppy 1231 extremely well, and the two of them will spend most of their playtime entertaining themselves through playing, running around the house or the backyard, and chewing on the same chew toy. It's been an absolute pleasure fostering her and I have no doubt she will be an amazing addition to your family.
