We got our Blue Heeler mix at Lifeline four years ago and she has been the best dog I have ever owned. I always said I’d go back there when we were ready for another.
I knew Lifeline’s popularity had grown since I had been there, and prepared to get there early. We still only managed about 20 minutes early Saturday morning but were still 14th in line. The owner explained how things worked, let the super early arrival get first pick, then 2-10 got to browse puppies, then about 5 minutes later the rest of us were able to browse. It was fair, not chaotic... the volunteers were friendly. Their class is important because people need to understand what they are in for. The owner was around, chatting with everyone. It’s clear he loves his dogs and what he does.
I saw some negative reviews before I went back last weekend, and I wanted to come in here to say that if you listen to how they do things, about what they expect, and go in to adopt a new family member, it will be an amazing experience. Our new pup is so sweet, and fits in perfectly with my family. I will always support Lifeline. <3
