Hailing from a small town, Cooper is an 8-year-old male dog in need of a loving home. After his elderly owner could no longer care for him, Cooper was surrendered to our shelter. Despite his difficult circumstances, Cooper remains a sweet and friendly dog who is just looking for a new couch to call his own. Cooper is a small-sized dog, weighing around 30 pounds, but he could stand to lose a few pounds with some gentle exercise. Though he is already house-trained and walks well on a leash, he has a particular knack for holding the leash in his mouth during walks - talk about a natural! Cooper is the perfect companion for a calm evening in, as he is a self-proclaimed couch potato who loves nothing more than to cuddle up with his favorite humans. Despite his age, Cooper has a lot of love and energy left to give to the right family. He would do best in a quiet home without too many stairs to navigate, as he has some joint stiffness in his hind legs. Cooper has been a model tenant so far, and we have no doubt that he will continue to be an excellent companion.
