Please meet Taylor (1057-23), she is a little puppy with a big personality! When we picked up Taylor from the shelter to bring her to our home, we were told she was a biter. We have not had that experience with her. She has been great with our family and also met numerous people over the holidays. She seems to be nervous around men when first meeting them but is best friends with her foster dad. Taylor is a good girl but can be a bit sassy. She loves to play. She will chase and return toys and balls as many times as you are willing to throw them for her. She is starting to get the concept of “drop” to give you the ball back but needs some more work on that. She will also throw balls around and chase them on her own and is good about playing by herself. She sometimes plays rough when she gets really wound up and does nip at hands. We are working on that with her. We have a variety of bones on hand for her and she spends a lot of time chewing those. She will let you know when she is ready to have someone to play with and can get a bit pushy to get some attention. She listens when told no but sometimes talks back. She has a lot of energy and will definitely do best with a family who will take time to play with her and tire her out. She loves being with her human family and likes to hang out on the couch chewing on a toy or a bone and then loves to snuggle when she finally gets tired. She likes to burrow in blankets when she snuggles. We have Taylor sleeping in a playpen enclosure at night and she does great, sleeping throughout the night. She is close to not needing to stay in the pen at night as she prefers to wait to go potty outside when she wakes up but can’t always make it quite yet. We have been feeding her hard puppy food. She is a grazer and only eats a little bit at a time, so we leave the food down and she eats throughout the morning and evening. Taylor will be the perfect companion for someone who is looking for a little puppy with a lot of energy. She is a funny puppy who provides a lot of entertainment.
