This boy takes a moment to warm up and trust his humans but when he does he is absolutely a sweetie. His foster mom jokes that he has a love meter, and when it is low he needs his cuddles- STAT! He loves to play outside and has been exposed to older kids 10+, other dogs, cats and chickens (through a fence). He plays well with his foster mom's dogs. We have also been working on potty training and he will try to avoid using the bathroom in 'his space' and gives verbal cues that he needs to go out. He will still need some practice when it comes to roaming larger areas, but he prefers to potty outside and gives plenty of cues when he needs to potty. Like most pups, he needs to chew and so his forever home should be puppy-proofed and offer many safe chew options. He does great when he is redirected to chew toys. We have also been working on getting on a sleep schedule and pick up food and water prior to 8 PM. He will wind down around that time and if he is awake, we'll take him potty one more time before we go to sleep and he will sleep through the night until about 6 AM. While it may take a little while to win his trust, his lap cuddles and kisses are worth it!
